This is a one-of-a-kind design shirt that was created in front of the audience during a performance at calligrapher Rino's first solo exhibition on November 3rd.

The kanji for "love" is written on the chest and "dragon" on the back.

*I used printing ink, not ink. I hope you enjoy it as art.
You can actually wear it and wash it by hand, but please be aware that there is a possibility of peeling or discoloration.

The fabric is treated with the traditional Omi-zarashi process from the Omi region of Shiga Prefecture, and the yoke is adorned with an original "MADE IN WA" name tag designed by calligrapher Rino. This shirt expresses a commitment to Japan.

Create a one-of-a-kind special shirt.

From the beginning of this project, the idea was to create a one-of-a-kind commemorative piece, which led to the decision to hold a solo exhibition and performance.

Rino met many people, including those who traveled from far away and those who said they had started calligraphy again after seeing her activities, and the feelings she had at that time were written in kanji and inscribed on the shirts.

If I hadn't held the solo exhibition, this special shirt would never have been created.

Expressing calligraphy through clothing

It's not easy to express Japanese culture and traditions in a way that suits the modern era, but for me, calligrapher Rino, this challenge is what is meaningful, and I feel it is a step towards spreading Japanese beauty to the world. I would be delighted if wearing this would help you experience and love the deep charm of Japan, even just a little.
